Our History

The Leigh Bureau is the world’s longest-established premium speakers bureau. W. Colston Leigh, our current chairman Bill Leigh’s father, founded the bureau in 1929. Since then, we have represented some of the world’s top speakers and public personages, such as Eleanor Roosevelt and Boris Yeltsin. We’ve also helped to shape the industry itself over the decades and made significant contributions to the wider culture. We led the way into the business speaking market in the early 1980s and have consistently specialized in Speakers of Substance, people who are thought leaders in their fields and who offer business and sophisticated cultural audiences the best in platform performance and valuable content.

Our Businesses

Our businesses seek to bring quality intellectual property into the market. In addition to the speaker bureau business, Leighco, our literary agency, helps our thought leader clients develop their intellectual property. Leigh Advisory Services helps business leaders implement them in their organizations through direct advisory and consulting-style relationships.

Our European Office

The Leigh Bureau has had a strong presence internationally for decades, especially in Europe and the rest of the Western Hemisphere. Our Dublin-based office manages much of our international business, covering all of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

All North American and Japanese business is managed from our New Jersey office. A sister company, Leigh Bureau International, serves Central and South America and other international markets.
